Licence true-up

A true-up is a vendor's reconciliation of actual usage against contracted licences, often resulting in an unexpected charge for over-use.

True-ups are a routine source of post-go-live cost, especially in ERP and enterprise platforms with named-vs-concurrent metering. Clarify the metering and cap the financial exposure in writing before signing.
