Definition
Hypercare is the intensive support period immediately after go-live when the vendor provides heightened staffing to stabilise the system.
Most enterprise go-lives need 72–96 hours of hypercare, yet proposals often under-scope it. Pin down the hypercare period, staffing level, and a named senior lead in the contract — a compressed cutover with thin hypercare is a critical risk signal.
